      Roger Novak

      Education:  University of New Mexico and West Texas A&M University

      

      Roger served in U.S. Air Force Bands for more than 20 years before joining the Richmond Symphony.  He also performs in the Williamsburg Symphonia, the Hampton Horn Quartet and Virginia Horn Quartet, and serves as the director of Eternity Music Academy.  In his free time, he loves to travel and spend time outdoors, and especially enjoys running and hiking in the Shenandoah.  He had the privilege of playing several extra roles in Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln”, and has recently acted in movies for the National Geographic Channel, CBN, and PBS.  He stays active as a teacher, freelance musician, clinician, and adjudicator in the Richmond and Hampton Roads Metro areas.
