Mary Bowden is the founder of the Chrysalis Chamber Players in Florida, and has recently performed as Principal Trumpet with the Auckland Philharmonia in New Zealand, the Lucerne Festival Academy in Switzerland, and with the Marlboro Music Festival. She enjoys pursuing a solo career, recently winning 1st Prize in the International Women's Brass Conference Solo Trumpet Competition. She performs duo recitals with fiance, trumpeter David Dash, having commissioned a piece this past season by composer James Stephenson for 2 trumpets and organ.
