Joy and her husband, Chris (PR manager for "Pershing's Own" US Army Band), love to be outside, whether bicycling through the countryside on an extended trip, or hiking in Maine's Acadia National Park where they teach at the Bar Harbor Brass Festival every year. During the year, when Joy is busy playing with various orchestras in the DC area, she still enjoys the outdoors by taking her dog, Georgia, for a daily walk or run. Joy and Chris try to cook a new recipe every week and are in the process of building a respectable wine collection.
