Cliff is inspired by the idea of reaching for perfection.  He’s doesn’t believe it can ever be achieved, but that doesn’t stop him from practicing enormous amounts of time in its pursuit.  Before returning to his home state, he spent 22 years in New York City, first as a student at Juilliard, then as a freelance musician playing anywhere from the street corner to Carnegie Hall.  In the summer, he enjoys doing yard work and tending his small garden of flowers and tomatoes.  He has a puppy, a cocker spaniel named Bentley, who simultaneously keeps him company and drives him crazy.
