Catherine’s passion, other than music, is equestrian sports; she loves to go trail riding alone or with friends.  She and her husband, RSO percussionist David Foster, live on a small farm with two horses, two dogs and four cats.  They are very proud of their daughter, Adrianna, who is an accomplished jazz singer, and will be starting her graduate studies at UVA in Environmental Science this fall.  When Catherine is not practicing the violin or riding horses, she likes to read, cook, hike and travel with David.
